Within our growing community, there are many players venturing into the field of competition for the first time.

What advice would you give someone who's just about to step into the world of competing?

If you're really new to yoyo-ing and you're a little too nervous to get on stage at your first competition, you could try the trick ladder. You still get the pressure of hitting your tricks, but with less time pressure and with less people watching you.

Hello everyone!

Seems like there were a lot of responses!
Is there going to be a collection of the best advice? I have read through a number of them on facebook and taken some of them to heart :)
Big thanks to bigkats. Funnily enough all the videos I had been learning from were a trick ladder competition series. I had just assumed that it was the general order one had to learned tricks in
I think as a beginner this is the first thing I will attempt competitively and also a great way to practice!

Also, have the winners been announced? I would love to hear more about the Gradiant!

It looks like some kind of alien holy relick from the photos :o
