Introduction
This has been a long time coming. Our good friend Pancakes helped us test the original Project when we were in the development stage. We are proud to welcome him to the One Drop team. He is an multi-faceted artist from Portland, Oregon who brings a unique style to yo-yoing.
YoYo History
"I started way back with a yellow wooden diamond imperial my dad gave to me. It had his name and a bird carved into it. He had won it at a contest when he was a kid. I learned all the basics on that and was pretty into it. Years later a friend showed me "Welcome to Naptown" and I was hooked. Ive been throwing in Portland for 5 or 6 years now, I cant remember anymore.
To make things easy and skip the manifesto, Im what you might call a creative type. I work for a record label doing album cover and label design with over a hundred slabs selling world wide. I also do large scale archival printing and creative work of my own in just about every medium and have work up around town on the regular. Ive spun records around town since '96, had radio shows and am now posting way to often on the "what are you listening to right now" forum. If im not throwing or making art, Im out biking with Mofopotomus in the rain. People call me Pancakes because, well... I make sweet pancakes."
